Zoom @ The Moon SE24

Welcome to Zoom Club, the brand new real music venue, at the Half Moon, Herne Hill SE24.  Taking its name from the famous German club in the 70’s, the Zoom Club aims to promote the best in quality international tour bands, Rock, Blues and select Tribute bands on the first two Saturdays of the month  - plus a few extra shows in due course.

The music room has been fully refurbished with a top class production and lights, and the venue boasts a beautifully restored carved wood interior.  The new management team even offer home made pizzas and imaginative salads etc…

Mixing Hendrix, SRV, BB King and even Yngwie Malmsteen, the sensational guitar slinger Carvin Jones returns to the UK with his best ever DVD - ‘The Carvinator’’. Recorded at the 5000 strong Skegness Rock & Blues Festival, it captures the outrageous guitarist and flamboyant performer at his best!

The award winning European king of the Blues harp, Paul lamb makes his debut with his international line-up to Zoom @ The Moon to promote his new "Snakes & Ladders" album on the prestigious sanctuary label.

Paul's band The King Snakes boast their strongest line-up ever, and feature former Strawbs / Meal Ticket bass player / vocalist Rod Demick, his son Ryan Lamb on lead guitar, fellow guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Strenz (Big Town Playboys / Shout Sister Shout) and amazing swing drummer Sonny Below.

The legendary Freddie King disciple Stan Webb has just celebrated over 40 years on the road with his biggest tour in recent times. The two month theatre tour with John Mayall played to packed houses everywhere with Stan resurrecting his 1967 hit ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’. Stan’s heavy duty blend of big toned psychedelic rock blues is as unique as it is brilliant!

World Class guitarist Albert Lee will be promoting his new “Live In Paris” DVD.

A magnificent Grammy Award Winning guitarist/piano playing Country Rocker, Albert Lee has finally found time to record a couple of quality albums that reflect his awesome ability. As ever he brings with him a top class band including Gerry Hogan on pedal steel, Brian Hodgson on bass, and Pete Baron on drums.

The Welsh giants of the west coast psychedelic scene are enjoying a new lease of life with the welcome return of keyboard player Phil Ryan who teams up with the bass playing raconteur Martin Ace, Micky Jones’s son George Jones on scintillating guitar as well as Martin’s son Josh Ace on second guitar and Rockpile drummer Bob Richards;

Expect highlights of the superb ‘Diamonds & Coal’ cd & favourites like ‘C’mon’, ‘Spunk Rock’ & ‘Many Are Called But Few Get up’.

Hollywood hall of Fame inductee and guitarist on three best selling Skynyrd Albums including the live DVD, Mike Estes is both an icon of Southern rock and one of the genre’s major song writers; he teams up with the three guitar line-up of Skinny for the best of Lynyrd Skynyrd/Molly hatchet and highlights from the band’s debit album, as yet untitled.

Los Angeles based Steve has been described as "a brilliant guitarist… he not only has soul in his fingers, he has heart in his songs" (Music Connection) and "a talented, versatile guitarist with a love and respect for the instrument's place in several genres" (All Music Guide).

Steve has played in Lita Ford's band in the eighties both live worldwide and on her hit studio albums but although this was eighties hard rock, he never lost his passion for American rooted blues music. Provogue recording artist, Michael plays Great American Rock'n'Roll with influences from blues, boogie and traditional rock. The songs on Michael Katon's new album are even better than expected.
