Artists & Bands Information These days most bands and artists have websites and many are now able to take payment on line but how do your customers find you and your CDs? Usually they will either buy your CDs at your gigs or buy online from your website (if you have the facility), fairly soon after seeing you live. Do you have any other avenues for potential customers to find you and your CDs? If not then your potential CD sales are extremely limited unless you play to huge crowds. What about the thousands of blues and blues/rock music lovers that have never been to one of your gigs but like to buy CDs. Expose your band and music to these customers by being represented on Blues CD Store which gives an easy route to purchase for the blues fan. They can order with confidence knowing the site they order from sells large amounts of CDs. Potential customers are sometimes worried about ordering over the internet from someone they don't know. They worry about how easy will it be for them to get a replacement if goods are faulty or what happens if goods do not arrive. Most people would prefer to order from a tried and tested source and of course they can order several items at once making purchasing a lot easier. Unfortunately, most of the big record shops no longer stock a good selection of blues CDs and the really good independent shops are few and far between. One way for people to look for new music is to browse the internet and often go to a website they know will give them a lot of information in one place. Many blues fans are tired of shopping at websites that try to cover all types of music, as usually it is more difficult to find what they want or the range is not big enough. The bigger websites usually cater for either the famous or those on a larger label, missing out the majority of the UK blues music scene. Blues CD Store wants to be the place where blues fans will come to find what they are looking for. Unlike other sites, we are not interested in only the famous but we want to give a platform to the UK's talented blues artists and bands. There are so many blues artists and bands in the UK that no one knows about or if they do, they often can't find their CDs. This is a great opportunity to get your CDs in front of a targeted audience and with the marketing planned for the site, visitor’s numbers from the UK and further a field, will be big. This service is not only open to UK bands but bands from Europe, USA and the Rest of the World. As the site grows we will increase the categories and maybe include a cross reference with country of origin. The Cost? There is a cost of £30 to register your CD on Blues CD Store and a commission for every CD sold. The cost to register covers uploading information on to the site including a jpg of the cover of your CD. You can email to us information on the band, biog, description of the CD etc. Please make sure any information supplied is for long term exposure e.g no gig dates (we reserve the right to edit the information given). This cost to register is a one off payment for your CD to be represented on the site and your CD will be on the site as long as you want it to be. When you have a new CD you will need to pay for the new one, if you wish it to be available on Blues CD Store. For every CD sold, Blues CD Store will keep £3 commission from the price that your CD sells at and we will pay you the rest. It is up to you what price you put on your CDs. Most people would expect to pay a little more than buying at gigs. All money due is paid at the end of the month and PayPal is our preferred method of payment. Alternatively, we will send you a cheque if required but there will be a surcharge of 75p if this method is chosen. What You Need To Do Next To register you CD, send £30 payment per CD by Pay Pal or credit card using our secure online service. If you have more than one CD increase the number in the shopping basket. Alternatively, you can send a cheque payable to 'Blues CD Store' at 46a Brook Street, Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP22 5ES.
The next step is to email; bandcds@bluescdstore.com the following; Name of Band or Artist: Title of Album: Description of the CD: Biography: Track Listing: If you have had any reviews or comments you can include these but it is your responsibility to ensure you have the author or publications permission. Price to be advertised on Blues CD Store: Your website address: Contact Details including email address: We will then contact you to make sure we have everything and ask you to send 3 CDs for our stock. The cds do not need to be bar coded or shrink wrapped. They can be low run CDRs or even demos but make sure the cover and label looks reasonable and the recording is of reasonable quality. Please note, the CDs you send are at your risk and if you want any unsold stock returned this will be at your expense. This offer to have your CDs on Blues CD Store is completely non exclusive and you are free to sell or advertise your CDs where ever you like. By registering your CDs with Blues CD Store you are not giving away any rights to your music or CDs. You can withdraw your CDs at any time. The same applies as above if you have a DVD you want to sell on Blues CD Store. The only difference is the commission is £4 per DVD sold. The only other stipulation is for you to put a hyperlink from your website to www.bluescdstore.com and it would be nice if you told your friends about Blues CD Store. We will from time to time ask you to help with promotion of Blues CD Store by maybe, distributing flyers at your gigs or including information on your mailings. This is not compulsory but if all UK artists and bands take part, it will help to grow the UK blues scene. If you are registered on Blues CD Store for your CD(s), you can also sell T Shirts. The only cost for this service is a commission of £3 and you will have to send out the T Shirt at your expense. All you need to do is send us a low res jpg or gif of your T Shirt. The aim of Blues CD Store is to provide the public with a website whereby they can find all types of blues CDs, DVDs and blues merchandise, not only the usual bands and artists. Whereas other sites disregard the less well known bands, it is actually these that are the heart of the UK blues scene which keeps alive blues and blues/rock music in the UK. Plans for the future will include exclusive special benefits for bands and artists with CDs registered on Blues CD Store. We are constantly being asked by specialist radio programmes and publications to recommend new bands and we will be looking to see to how we can help blues artists and bands in various ways. We want you to be part of what is hoped to be in time, the best blues CD website in the UK and possibly the World. We can't do it without you.
